Competition for the 2012 Olympic landmark The formal idea of the project is the fold of a plate around itself to form a triangle that contain a stair that leads to a panoramic terrace (quote 24 metres), from which it’s possible to have a look of the whole site area: the plate has been cut to create the circles of the Olympic logo. A strong steel framework, with a rumble texture, is the structural soul of the tower that carries the stair, realized in metal and a plate folded for the footprint. with Annalisa Curreri, Diego De Conca Paris, France |
